Lauterbrunnen

We woke up from Zermatt early and caught the first train out to Lauterbrunnen. The first picture is the early bird view from the hotel and the second is on the train ride. How the hell do they seriously build those!

Arrival to Interlaken Ost. Interlaken was beautiful because it sits in the middle of two lakes that are sky blue. Absolutely beautiful. We explored the town and then went to Beatushoehlen caves only 20 min away from the center of town by bus.

The waterfall hike up to the cave entrance.

Gotta love a gnome village diorama.

The cave entrance. No pictures were allowed inside the cave.

We decided after the cave tour we would hike down to the bottom and catch a boat back to Interlaken. We hiked for 20min and then the boat wasn't coming. No more rides for a Sunday past a certain time. I was not happy. We had to hike back up hill and find the nearest bus stop And wait by the Side of the road.

After we got back to Interlaken we took the train to Lauterbrunnen. We stayed at the Valley hostel. Our room had a view with a few waterfalls and we could hear and see the train that goes to Wengen, a small town at the top of a mountain. The water fall is Staubbach.

After we got settled in our room, we went exploring. We went to a cheese shop and took a walk through town to Staubbach. We climbed up into the mountain and went directly behind it. Then we came down, saw a slug, and enjoyed a hearty Switzerland meal of Rosti, famous switzerland dish, and local organic sausage. There was a polka band playing outside while we ate. I loved it!

The restaurant.

The I had to get my ice cream fix. This was the BEST I had yet in Europe! It was straight up Swiice chocolate ice cream.
