Gimmelwald 1

Ater a refreshing sleep in Gimmelwld, we woke up early to catch the first gondola right up to Murren and then from Murren to Shilcthorn and then up to the Piz De Gloria. It was going to be a nice day, there was blue skies and no fog. The sun was rising literally in front of us making the gondola ride that much better.
The first peaks of sun in Gimmelwald, we were walking to the lift station.

The lift station up to Murren or down to Stechelberg.

Our ride up to the sun was more bright the farther we went up!

The altitude meter kept going up!

Our cables that hold the gondola up. See if you can find our beginning to those cables!

Our destination. The Piz de Gloria, which is a restaurant that revolves around while you have a gourmet breakfast. A James bond movie was filmed here at one time. It's famous! The Piz de Gloria sits on top of the Schiltorn mountain.

My new obsession, white hot chocolate, but it's Swiss so of course it taste better. I bought a giant canister and brought it home. Ask me for a taste next time you are around.

After breakfast we went out on the observation deck to soak it all in. This particular part of the region is known for the 3 mountains called the monk, ogre, and the maiden. The monk is protecting the maiden from the ogre. So in this picture from left to right, ogre monk maiden. See it?

The restaurant.

Other views from the top.

On the way down. The ride much less crowded and I could see a lot more! This is another view of the 3 mountains.

Murren. Isnt it lovely?

Down to Gimmelwald from Murren.

Walking back to our place, we saw this. A slide that a kid told me to go down cause it is awesome!

It wasn't too bad!

The goats are out And about!

Isn't Gimmelwald beautiful?!

Since we had an early start we decided to take a short nap and the g l down to Trummelbach falls.
