Then we had to catch a train to Florence. Nightmare. I was almost in tears. We ran like a half a mile with 25lb packs on. Absolutely terrible. We had to run across train tracks and conductors we're yelling at us to hurry up because we needed to get on now! Wow Italian train tickets are hard to get figured out. now we have mastered the train system in Europe and even sometime help others with their ticket problems.
After arriving in Florence we checked into our young and happening hostel. I felt old. Chris loved it. He felt like he was back in college again. We went to the Accadmia which holds the sculpture of David. Very impressive in person and allows for funny gift ideas.
Later on we ate gelato again. I sometimes require a twice a day fix with the stuff. And then we sat on the rooftop Terrance of the hostel where there is a bar. It was beautiful up there. We also went to the grocery store where I could buy some shampoo, conditioner, and razors. Thank god. My hair is a rats nest without conditioner.
Here are some pictures of general Florence neighborhoods that I took on our night walk to eat some supper. We usually eat supper at like 9 at night here. The food schedule here is slightly different.
We seemed to be liking Florence more and more. Less hustle and bussle than Rome and moe people that spoke english.
Sorry this was suppose to posted before the other one! Currently we are sitting in a small pub in Venice! I had a toasted sandwich and Chris had a Guinness.
